The Shimano DEORE XT RD-M8260-12 Di2 Rear Derailleur is designed specifically for 12-speed electric mountain bike drivetrains, combining electronic shifting precision with the durability required for demanding E-MTB trails.

This hardwired Di2 derailleur draws power directly from the e-bike's main battery through an SD300 connector, eliminating the need for a separate derailleur battery. Its electronic HYPERGLIDE+ shifting system delivers precise gear changes, while SHIMANO SHADOW ES chain stabilisation helps maintain chain retention over rough and technical terrain.

Designed for modern E-MTB riding, the RD-M8260-12 supports Auto Shift, which automatically selects gears using cadence and speed data, and Free Shift, which allows riders to pre-select gears while coasting. Both functions can be configured through the Shimano E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist app.

For added trail durability, Automatic Impact Recovery helps return the derailleur to its operating position following an impact. A wide-link alloy cage, integrated skid plate and pulley guards provide additional protection against trail debris and obstacles.

With a long cage supporting a maximum 51-tooth sprocket, the DEORE XT RD-M8260-12 is built for the wide gear range and demanding conditions of technical E-MTB riding.
